Even people who outwardly act (and convince themselves) that they are “happy” have something that feels like a dark cloud hanging over them.
Go ahead and allow yourself to feel yours. It is something physical? A difficult relationship?
No money? The death of a loved one?
How would you like to change this?
I know what it is like to feel cursed, similarly to how you may feel.
When I was a young man, just starting to soar like an eagle in a life full of promise, I was trapped in a fire. I was surrounded by flames, hidden in smoke, unconscious. The smoke inhalation and carbon monoxide poisoning resulted in a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and took away the life I knew.
Many people think that God curses them. I feel that God doesn’t curse anyone. I feel that God is here to bless everyone. You might think that God cursed me, but I feel He did not. curse breaker This understanding took years, and I am now closer in touch with my creator than I was before having a TBI.
At first, I did feel I was “cursed” with being “disabled” the rest of my life. I did not understand why this happened to me. I still have a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and I am Blessed! How did that happen? How did the very thing that cursed me become my Blessing??
My perspective changed. I started looking at this in a different light. I don’t know how I made this shift, but now I look at my being “differently-abled” as a blessing, not as a curse. Doctors said it is a miracle that I am alive. Life! What a privilege it is to live with a mere injury, when the alternative was death!
Having a TBI has awakened a passion in my heart to help others. My life is about overcoming challenges, and this has shaped me into a stronger, more loving, more compassionate man – what a Blessing!
How about you? What are you focusing on? If you focus on the negative, you will see the curse.
If you focus on the positive, you will see the Blessings.
Even if you have to strain to see even a slightly positive aspect in your situation – grab on to it!
Focus on it repeatedly, throughout the day, day after day, and in time, you will know the Blessings! This is how to be positive.
