Not that I’ve ever been the most prolific of bloggers, but even so there might have been a bit of lull in new content here on A Swede Talks Movies recently. I’ve made it clear from the start that I only blog when I feel like it and that I’m allergic to schedules, so I’m not going to apologize for this. However, an explanation might be in order here, as there are unusual circumstances at play.
First of all, I’m going on vacation to Bulgaria about a week from now, so some of my time has been spent planning it out and preparing for it. Secondly, I’ve been apartment hunting, which have yielded results, so I’ll be moving a few days after I return from my trip at the end of July. Moving takes some time and effort, so the blog has been put on the backburner a bit. There’s also the fact that it might take a short while to get internet access at my new place, so that’s another stumbling block.
But have no fear! I’m still watching movies, and I still intend to write about them whenever I get the urge to. I’ve been thinking of some new ideas I might make posts about in the future, and there’ll be another Monthly Report at the end of this month, as usual.
Also, I did actually write something earlier this week. Raghav over at Ticker Talks Film asked me to take part in a new series of his called Cabin in the Woods. The idea is to pick five films to bring with you on a trip to a – you guessed it – cabin in the woods. The twist is that every writer gets a different scenario. The one I got had the house being supposedly haunted, with me and some friends spending a weekend there. To find out what films I picked and my reasoning check out the post here.
